He married Margaret, daughter of Sir William Wallace of Johnston, (she survived him and died in February 1625 and died on 29 December 1596.

married Marie Maxwell (whom he appointed his executor) and died in March 1618, having made out his Will at Calseysyd on 7 June 1617.He had issue -
