Earl of Menteith
Muireadhach /Murdoch DE MENTEiTH , EARL, was probably killed in the battle of Dupplin Moor 12 Aug 1332 He succeeded his brother as Earl of Menteith. John of Fordun’s Scotichronicon records that "…Murdaco comite de Menteith…" were killed at Duplin Moor 11 Aug 1332 fighting Edward Balliol. m [ALICE], daughter of ---.
He was succeeded by his niece, Mary as Countess of Menteith, suo iure. m (before 1334, Papal dispensation 1 May 1334) JOHN Graham, son of --- (-hanged 28 Feb 1347). John & his wife had one child, Margaret who also became Countess of Menteith
