ALEXANDER Stewart 'The Wolf of Badenoch'
Earl of Buchan (S.)
SIR ALEXANDER STEWART, fourth son of King Robert II. Father, was recognised as EARL OF BUCHAN (S.) in 1382. He was known as "The_Wolf_of_Badenoch," and died without legitimate issue probably in 1406. He left several illegitimate sons.

e) Walter WALTER, Ancestor of Belladrum, etc..

Arms: of the Earl of Buchan as shown on the Seal of his widow, Euphemia Ross, 1394.-Three shields, Centre, Three lions rampant within double tressure flory-counterflory (Ross). Dexter, On a bend three buckles (Leslie); Sinister, Three Garbs (Buchan)-(Laing).
Nisbet, however, gives the Arms as.-1 and 4. Stewart. 2 and 3. Buchan. CREST: A Garb.
