Charles Stewart, 6th of Ballechin
Father, died:
He d. in 1733, having m. firstly, to Anne, daughter and co-heiress of John Dow of Arnehall, , by whom he had issue.
1. Patrick Stewart, fiar ( the person in whom the property of an estate is vested) of Ballechin, m. at Edinburgh, on 22 February 1713, to Christian, daughter of Sir Robert Menzies of Weem,1 (she survived him and m.secondly, John Farquharson of Invercauld. He was widower of Isabell, daughter of Sir Alexander Burnett, and d. in 1713/14.)
1a} Jean Stewart, was born posthumously and was bap. at Logierait, on 3
June 1714 and d. unmarried, in 1733.
2. James Stewart, bap. at Logierait, on 21 May 1690 .He served in the Jacobite army of 1715 and was taken prisoner at Preston after which he d. in prison in Newgate in 1716.
3. Charles Stewart, 7th of Ballechin,
4. John Stewart, bap. at Logierait, on 16 September 1698.
5. Elizabeth Stewart, m. John Stewart, 4th of Ardsheal, and had issue.
6. Helen Stewart, m. in 1700, to Alexander Menzies of Woodend, and had issue.
7. Margaret Stewart, m. in 1702, to John Campbell of Kinloch, and had issue.
8. Emelia Stewart, m. in 1707, to John Stewart, 8th of Bonskeid, (he survived her
and m. secondly, on 24 June 1711, to Jean, daughter of Alexander Stewart of
Wester Cluny4), and had issue
9. Katherine Stewart, bap. at Logierait, on 11 May 1691.
