MATTHEW Stewart
2nd Earl of Lennox
MATTHEW, SECOND EARL OF LENNOX (S.), was killed at Flodden 1513,
He married firstly, on 13 June 1490, Margaret Lyle, daughter of Robert Lyle, Lord Lyle.
On 9 April 1494, he married Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton, 1st Lord Hamilton, and Mary Stewart, Princess of Scotland, daughter of King James II of Scotland.
Lennox and Elizabeth Hamilton had :
William Stewart, the master of Lennox,
Agnes Stewart, J
ohn Stewart, 3rd Earl of Lennox,

and Catherine Stewart.
It is possible he had another daughter, Janet Stewart by his first wife. She is sometimes listed as being a daughter of the 1st earl but chronologically this is unlikely
Lennox was succeeded by his second son John JOHN, 3rd Earl of Lennox , the elder son, William, dying without issue.
