JAMES Stewart
granted lands of Traquair
JAMES STEWART, son of JAMES, Earl of Buchan , was granted the lands of Traquair, Peeblesshire.
He had letters of legitimation on 20 February 1489 and is styled son of the late James, Earl of Buchan, by Margaret Murray
He married Catherine Rutherford, daughter of Philip Rutherfordford of that ilk, and had three sons WILLIAM, of Traquair .

He died at Flodden, 1513.
